Physician CME Training - We can work with your clinic or hospital to determine your training needs and bring in a state or nationally recognized physician to educate your physicians on the

  • Biology of Nicotine Dependence on the Brain
  • Chronic Nature of Tobacco/Tobacco as a Chronic Medical Condition
  • Effective Tools for Scientific Dependence Measurement
  • Effective Pharmacotherapy

Intervention Certification Training for Nurses and Department Heads - Our staff has had years of experience as trainers of evidence-based models of tobacco intervention.  We can bring state certification training to your hospital, clinic, or socil program setting.  In 4-hours we can ensure that your staff understands:

  • The dangers of tobacco use and the importance of treatment
  • The psychological, biological and sociocultural components to addiction
  • Current FDA approved pharmacotherapy for treatment
  • Providing interventions with a tobacco user in a culturally relevant, non-invasive manner
  • Basically, how to talk to patients confidently, giving them the empowerment they need to seek help for their treatment

We can work with Nurse Supervisors, HR Managers or Electronic Medical Records Staff to assist with the creation of a system that allows staff to track patients from the initial intervention through intensive treatment.  A listing of our satisfied clinics and hospitals that have received our training include:

Informational Kits for Patient Education - We have compiled Tobacco Free Me! Starter Kits that include all essentials for an evidence-based intervention for your patient.  After training your staff on delivering interventions, we can continually supply starter kits for use with the interventions.  Through the kit, the patient will receive information on

  • Setting a quit date, identifying triggers, etc.
  • Effective pharmacotherapy
  • Motivational tools for success
  • Referrals for avaliable intensive treatment services
  • Information on discount medication
