TEAP is conducting it's 2nd Quit Day Event, A Celebration of Smokers! 

Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Coconut Island in Hilo

from 9am - 2pm.

The celebration will include activities such as the following:

  • Health Screening and Free Chair Massage

  • Distribution of Nicotine Patches and Gum

  • The Biology of Nicotine Addiction on the Brain - Understanding Medications (Cara Sadira)

  • E' Ola Pono – Making Right the Path, Hawaiian Values in Recovery(Ronnette Gonsalves)

  • Identifying Stressors/Triggers and Developing Replacements (Group Discussion led by Cara Sadira )

  • Distribution of Emergency Kits

  • Cultural Activities to Keep the Hands Busy (Kumu Hula)
